  • All-State and Prep All-America in football and track and field

  • The track state AAA champion in the 100,200,400 meters for three consecutive years and set state records in each that stood for 23 years before being broken

  • Won three track-state titles during his career at Widefield High School

  • Named Colorado Pre athlete of the year in 1982 

  • Inducted into the Colorado High School Hall of fame in 1993

  • Inducted into Colorado Springs Hall of fame in 2006

  •  Won All PAC 10 honors in 1984, honorable mention ALL AMERICAN 

  • Named ASU football MVP​

  • Named team leading Rusher, and voted first team All-World honors and team was runner up in the World Bowl 1992

  • Graduated University of Texas El Paso with Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology in Sports Studies

  • Graduated Organizational Management with Masters of Arts degree from the University of Phoenix

  • Has over 15 years of management experience

  • Winner of 2015 Community Leadership Award sponsored by Linking Sports and Communities

  • Cox Communications Community Volunteer Award
